This Month, I had the privilege of presenting our 2024 audit to the Board of the SRHR Alliance Kenya. It was more than just numbers—it was a moment of reflection on how far we’ve come. Since becoming an independent organization in 2020, the Alliance has grown stronger and more rooted in our mission. The Board, with deep commitment, has provided critical oversight during this transition—from being a hosted entity to standing fully on our own. Their steady leadership continues to be a pillar of strength.
A key highlight from our meeting was the Board’s emphasis on peer mentorship. As a membership organization with 18 active members, the Alliance’s strength lies in our collective leadership. The idea of creating an ED’s Forum for ongoing learning, peer support, and strategy-sharing was well received—a step toward building a more unified, empowered leadership across all member organizations. We also had a candid conversation about the future. With the donor landscape continuing to shift, the Board is encouraging us to reflect, adapt, and collaborate more intentionally. This means exploring joint resource mobilization, expanding our reach into more regions of Kenya, and leveraging our collective voice for greater impact.
Together, we move forward—with resilience, unity, and vision.
